Frequently Asked Questions

  • Biological dentistry recognizes that the mouth is deeply connected to the entire body and is not an isolated system. Every tooth is linked to organs and energy pathways through the nervous, circulatory, and lymphatic systems. Unlike conventional dentistry, which often focuses only on symptoms or isolated problems, biological dentistry looks at how oral conditions like chronic inflammation, infections, or toxic materials can silently disrupt immune function, gut balance, cardiovascular health, and more.

By using safe, biocompatible materials, advanced diagnostics, and a healing-centered approach, we treat the root causes rather than just the symptoms. This whole-body focus makes biological dentistry not only more comprehensive, but more effective for long-term wellness.

  • At Kairos Dental, we’ve chosen not to be in-network with insurance providers because we believe your care should prioritize optimal health. Your treatment should be guided by what your body truly needs, not by what insurance deems “necessary” or “standard.” This approach allows us to offer advanced, wellness-based treatments that support your health without compromise. We’re happy to provide detailed receipts you can submit for reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits.

  • Dr. Tyler will see children once all of their adult teeth have erupted and at least one parent is an established patient.

  • We prioritize using materials that are biocompatible and safe for your overall health. We focus on metal-free options, including ceramic implants and BPA-free materials, to ensure we support your body’s natural healing process. For patients with specific sensitivities or concerns, we offer the option of biocompatibility testing through a trusted third party to help determine the most suitable materials for your individual needs.

  • Ready to join us? Fill out your information on our patient contact form and we’ll take care of the rest — next steps and all the info you need will be on its way!

  • To ensure we deliver the most comprehensive, personalized care, we ask that the following items are completed before your initial visit:

    • Previous Dental Records: Please have any recent X-rays or radiographs from your former dental office sent to us prior to your appointment.

    • New Patient Forms: All required paperwork must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance.

    • Medical History: Be prepared to share a detailed medical history, including current medications and any chronic health conditions. Because the mouth is deeply connected to the rest of the body, your medical history provides essential context.

Thank you for taking these steps ahead of time. We’re excited to partner with you in your health journey at Kairos Dental.

  • Dental X-rays use a very small, carefully controlled amount of radiation and are an essential part of diagnosis and preventive dental care. They allow us to detect cavities, infections, and other concerns at their earliest stages, often before they’re visible during a routine exam. All X-rays are taken following the ALARA principle (As Low As Reasonably Achievable), ensuring optimal safety while providing accurate diagnostic insight.

  • When a root canal is recommended, it is important to understand why. Whether a tooth has died, is fractured beyond repair, or is infected, knowing your options is essential. An alternative to a root canal is removing the tooth and considering replacement options, such as placing a biocompatible ceramic implant to restore both form and function.

  • At Kairos Dental, we are deeply committed to a holistic, patient-centered approach to health. We actively collaborate with a wide range of like-minded wellness providers, including naturopaths, chiropractors, acupuncturists, functional medicine practitioners, holistic nutritionists and more. By encouraging this multidisciplinary model of care, we support the body’s natural ability to heal and help our patients achieve optimal, long-lasting health.

  • At Kairos Dental, we choose to use Swiss Dental Solutions (SDS) ceramic implants because they’re metal-free, biocompatible, and support whole-body wellness — making them a safer, more aesthetic alternative to traditional titanium implants. Made from durable zirconia, they resist corrosion, attract less bacteria, and align with our holistic approach to care. To learn more, check out our services section.

  • Dr. Tyler approaches implant placement with intention, precision, and a deep understanding of both advanced technology and the body’s natural healing systems.

We begin by gathering detailed digital imaging using 3D Cone Beam technology (CBCT). This allows Dr. Tyler to fully assess not only the site of the implant but also the surrounding bone structure, sinuses, and nerve pathways. Combined with precise intraoral scans, this data is used to virtually plan every detail of your surgery well before you arrive. Custom surgical guides, models, and other components are created using 3D printing to ensure accuracy and a minimally invasive approach.

In preparation for surgery, we take into account your individual biology and how your body can be best supported for healing. A tailored protocol of vitamins, minerals, and targeted supplements, such as vitamin D3, K2, C, magnesium, and omega fatty acids, may be recommended to strengthen your immune system, promote bone and soft tissue regeneration, and support overall recovery.

On the day of treatment, we implement precise, biologically supportive protocols to optimize outcomes. Minimally invasive techniques are used to reduce trauma and support faster healing. We also incorporate ozone therapy to disinfect and prepare the surgical site. To further enhance healing, we use advanced forms of platelet-rich fibibrin (A-PRF and i-PRF), which are derived from your own blood and rich in growth factors, stem cells, and fibrin — naturally encouraging tissue repair and regeneration.

After the procedure, you’ll be provided with clear instructions and resources to support your recovery and comfort. We’re here to guide you through the healing process and help ensure long-term success.

  • At Kairos Dental, we take a comprehensive approach to healing by supporting the body before, during, and after treatment. In-office healing support includes a range of integrative therapies designed to promote faster recovery and long-term wellness.

    • Medical-Grade Ozone Therapy for powerful antimicrobial support and enhanced oxygenation of tissues
