Dr. Tyler Koupal

Dr. Tyler Koupal, founder of Kairos Dental, is a passionate advocate for whole-body wellness through dentistry. Originally from a small town in South Dakota, his interest in dentistry began in middle school and grew into a lifelong calling. He earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry with a minor in math from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, then continued on to Marquette University for his dental education. During that time, he married his wife, Allie, and welcomed their first son in 2020 — navigating parenthood and graduation in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

After graduating, Dr. Tyler and his family moved to Iowa, where he began practicing in a traditional private practice. While the role checked all the boxes on paper, it lacked the deeper fulfillment he was searching for. Feeling a nudge toward something more, his family relocated to Kansas City, where he continued practicing in a corporate dental setting. It was during this season that a deeper conviction began to take root.

As Dr. Tyler reflected on his own life and the holistic choices he made for his health and family, he realized there was a disconnect. His career in traditional dentistry didn’t align with the values he lived by everyday. That realization led him to pursue biological dentistry — a path that brings his professional work into harmony with his personal beliefs about whole body wellness.

At Kairos Dental, Dr. Tyler brings that purpose to life by offering comprehensive, holistic, and patient-focused care. Outside the office, you'll find him spending time with his wife and kids, golfing, watching sports, or on the hunt for the best wings in town.

Allie Koupal

Registered Dental Hygienist and Office Manager

Allie is a dental hygienist, the office manager, and cofounder of Kairos Dental. More than that, she’s the heart of the practice, bringing intentionality, warmth, and a deeply rooted commitment to holistic living into every aspect of patient care.

Originally from a small town in Iowa, Allie has always been drawn to a natural, wellness-centered lifestyle. She graduated from the University of South Dakota’s dental hygiene program in 2017, then moved to Milwaukee to support her husband, Dr. Tyler, through dental school. The two were married in 2019 and welcomed their first son in 2020 just as the world was shutting down. That transformative season sparked a deeper passion in Allie for holistic health and launched her journey into clean living, natural birth, and toxin-free everything.

Today, Allie is a proud mom of three boys and lives with intention honoring the body, prioritizing health, and walking in faith. She’s far more interested in the quality of her family’s food, water, and personal care products than in the latest fashion trends. Whether she’s experimenting with a new biohacking tool, squeezing in a Pilates class, or diving deep into the latest health research, Allie approaches it all with curiosity, intention, and purpose.

For Allie, biological dentistry isn’t just a profession, it’s an extension of how she lives every day. She’s passionate about helping patients understand the vital connection between oral health and overall wellness. With a gift for making people feel seen, heard, and empowered, Allie is on a mission to create a space where health feels approachable, personal, and deeply aligned with the body’s natural wisdom.
