At Kairos Dental, we’re more than just a dental office. We’re a team that highlights the integral link between our mouths and our bodies, recognizing the profound impact oral health can have on systemic well-being.
CBCT Diagnostic Imaging
-
A CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) scan is a type of 3D imaging that gives us a highly detailed, three-dimensional view of your teeth, jawbone, sinuses, and surrounding structures — all with far less radiation than a traditional medical CT scan.
At Kairos Dental, we use CBCT technology because it allows us to see much more than what standard X-rays can show. This is especially important in biological dentistry, where understanding the full picture of your oral and overall health is key.
-
CBCT helps us:
Detect hidden infections or bone loss
Evaluate cavitations (areas of unhealthy jawbone)
Plan precise, minimally invasive ceramic implant placement
Assess sinuses, nerve pathways, and bone density safely and accurately
This advanced imaging tool supports our commitment to safe, thorough, and personalized care — so we can treat the root cause, not just the symptoms.
Safe Metal Removal
-
Many older "silver" fillings (called dental amalgams) are made with about 50% elemental mercury, a known neurotoxin. Mercury vapor can be released when chewing, brushing, or grinding teeth, and even more so during the removal of these fillings. Because of potential health risks, the FDA recommends avoiding mercury fillings for certain individuals, including pregnant or breastfeeding women, children, and people with neurological or kidney conditions.
Other metals in the mouth, such as titanium implants and certain types of crowns, can trigger inflammation and immune responses. Our biocompatibility testing can identify these sensitivities, allowing us to utilize materials that align with your body and support long-term health and healing.
-
At Kairos Dental, we take your health seriously. That’s why we follow the SMART protocol (Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique), developed by the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT). This strict safety process includes the use of rubber dams, high-volume suction, specialized air filtration, and protective equipment to keep you, our team, and the environment safe during amalgam removal.
Mercury can build up in the body and even be passed down through (up to four!) generations, so removing these fillings safely and responsibly is an important step toward protecting your long-term health.
Biological Tooth Extraction
-
A biological extraction goes beyond simply removing a tooth. At Kairos Dental, we take a more mindful, health-centered approach designed to support your body’s natural healing. We carefully remove teeth and any surrounding infection, while minimizing trauma to the surrounding bone and tissue. Therapies like ozone and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) promote regeneration and reduce inflammation. Our method promotes natural, faster healing. It’s a safer, more complete way to care for your whole-body health.
Cavitation Surgery
-
Cavitations are areas of unhealthy, often chronically infected bone that can develop after a tooth is removed. These occur when the extraction site doesn’t heal properly, and they are most commonly found in the jawbone, usually in wisdom tooth areas. These may result from incomplete cleaning of the socket, lingering infection, or poor blood flow in the area.
Unlike most obvious infections, cavitations are usually silent —meaning they don’t always cause pain, but they can still impact your health. These hidden areas can harbor bacteria and toxins that may contribute to systemic inflammation, fatigue, immune challenges, and even chronic illness in some patients.
-
At Kairos Dental, we take these concerns seriously. Using advanced diagnostics like 3D imaging, we identify and assess potential cavitations. When treatment is needed, we use biologically based protocols including ozone therapy, PRF (platelet-rich fibrin), and surgical techniques to clean and support proper healing of the bone.
Our goal is to restore full function and promote whole-body wellness by addressing the underlying issues, not just the symptoms.
Ozone Therapy
-
Ozone Therapy is used to support various dental treatments and improve outcomes.
Ozone therapy offers a natural, non-invasive method to help prevent, manage, and reduce dental disease. Ozone is a highly energized form of oxygen known for its strong antimicrobial properties. While oxygen in its standard form exists as O₂, ozone consists of three oxygen atoms (O₃). This extra atom makes ozone unstable, allowing it to break down and release a single oxygen atom. This released atom actively targets and destroys the cell walls of harmful microorganisms, yet it remains safe for human cells.
In dental care, ozone can be administered in three main forms: ozone gas, ozonated water, and ozonated oil.
-
Key Benefits of Ozone Therapy in Dentistry:
Enhances blood circulation and boosts red blood cell performance in treated areas
Gentle, non-invasive, and works in harmony with the body’s natural immune responses
Increases the durability and reduces the sensitivity of dental restorations
Provides relief from tooth sensitivity
Acts as a strong antimicrobial agent against gum disease and oral infections
Useful for treating mouth ulcers and cold sores
Holistic Healing Modalities
-
At Kairos Dental, we take a comprehensive approach to healing by supporting the body before, during, and after treatment. In-office healing support includes a range of integrative therapies designed to promote faster recovery and long-term wellness.
These include:
Red Light Therapy to reduce inflammation, stimulate cellular repair, and encourage faster healing
Targeted Supplement Protocols personalized to support bone health, immune response, and tissue repair
Medical-Grade Ozone Therapy for powerful antimicrobial support and enhanced oxygenation of tissues
Homeopathic Remedies to support the body’s natural healing mechanisms and minimize discomfort
By integrating these therapies, we aim to create an environment where your body can heal efficiently and naturally. We’re committed to adding cutting edge therapies to enhance our patient experience.
Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF)
-
At Kairos Dental, we use platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) to support healing and regeneration in a natural, biologically friendly way, especially during procedures like ceramic implant placement.
PRF is made from a small sample of your own blood, which we spin in a special centrifuge to separate out a concentrated mix of platelets, fibrin, growth factors, and stem cells. This natural substance acts like a healing booster, encouraging your body to regenerate bone and soft tissue more quickly and effectively. -
We apply PRF directly into the surgical site to:
Reduce inflammation
Speed up healing
Support bone integration around the implant
Minimize the risk of infection
Improve overall surgical outcomes
Because PRF comes from your own body, it’s completely safe and free of additives. This makes it an ideal fit for our holistic, biocompatible approach to dentistry.
Ceramic Dental Implants
-
At Kairos Dental, we choose Swiss Dental Solutions (SDS) ceramic implants because they align with our commitment to biocompatible, health-focused care. Unlike traditional titanium implants, which are metal-based, SDS ceramic implants are made from zirconia — a strong, non-metallic material that integrates beautifully with the body.
Swiss Dental Solutions has developed a comprehensive protocol designed to ensure optimal results. Dr. Tyler has undergone advanced training with SDS to provide patients with the highest level of care.
-
Here’s how SDS ceramic implants stand apart:
Metal-Free and Biocompatible:
SDS ceramic implants are 100% metal-free, making them an excellent choice for patients with metal sensitivities or those who prefer to avoid metal in their bodies. Zirconia is highly biocompatible, reducing the risk of inflammation, allergic reactions, or interference with the body’s natural energy flow.
Aesthetic Advantage:
Unlike titanium, ceramic implants are naturally white and closely resemble the color of natural teeth. This makes them ideal for use in visible areas, as there’s no risk of dark metal showing through the gum tissue.
Low Bacterial Attraction:
The smooth surface of zirconia attracts significantly less plaque and bacteria than titanium. Zirconia promotes a natural attachment with soft tissue, supporting healthy gums and significantly reducing the risk of gum diseaseHolistic and Systemic Health Support:
SDS ceramic implants are designed with a whole-body approach in mind. They're created to support long-term wellness without interfering with the body’s natural balance — an important consideration in biological dentistry.Corrosion-Resistant and Non-Conductive:
Titanium can corrode over time and may conduct electrical currents in the mouth, potentially affecting sensitive individuals. Ceramic implants are completely resistant to corrosion and do not conduct electricity.
SDS implants are the leading choice for ceramic implant technology, offering exceptional durability, precision design, and a holistic philosophy that mirrors our values at Kairos Dental.
Our goal is to make you as comfortable and at-ease as possible. At Kairos Dental, we take pride in providing elite, holistic care with a focus on whole-body health. We look forward to being part of your health journey!
